About Mark Walker
Mark knew at a very early age God was calling him into a purposed life that gave encouragement and hope to others. Through his mission trips and ministry visits to men incarcerated during his youth to later divorce recovery, hospital chplainry, coporate chaplainry, small groups and plans for a cancer support group, he knew the needs were great and his heart was drawn to answer Gods' call.
There was always a calmness about him -that would draw people to him throughout his life and now that he is in the presence of our Lord and Savior, his testimony still lives on today - pointing anyone to the same Jesus that enable him to endure and overcome life's challenges.
Mark passed away at the age of 46 on February 24, 2007 after a 3-year battle with colorectal cancer. Although some of his plans never came to be, his desire to serve never diminished.
I always begin my day with this prayer:
Even though I am unworthy, I long to reach the end of life's journey to see You face to face. In the meantime, Lord, may I use each day, each hour, each moment to leave my mark for You. |
